Local colors as anchors of Inuit knowledge

Based on Inukjuak a case study, this Urban Design project aims to strengthen Inuit cultural roots at the heart of Nunavik's Northern Villages by building on their local color (cultural and territorial specificities) as a driving force for land-based learning, entrepreneurship and the consolidation of resilient living environments.

Alice Corrivault-Gascon and Vanessa Alalam, both students in the Master of Urban Design program, are the winners (International Prize) of the 2022-2023 edition of the ArtUrbain.fr international competition. This proposal picks up on their Urban Design Laboratory project (ARC-6003 Fall 2022) carried out as part of Doing Things Differently.
